I am trying to decipher an oriental accent.
Evaluation for elective thymectomy.
Patient has myesthenia gravis.
I am unable to understand two of the dictated medications in past history. sounds like sin-cel-oid 0.15 mg p.o. daily and the other sounds like fam-pho-dyl 30 cc after meals 1-2 x/day. One last question..does the phrase "airborne conduction normal" sound right for Ears? Any help appreciated smile

For the phrase for ears, google "air * conduction" hearing (quotes and all) and you will get some ideas from that.

Your first medication could be Synthroid but I'm not positive. Definitely double check--if the patient has hypothyroidism that would likely be correct but remember I can't hear it.

The second one is throwing me off because of the cc's. I know what is sounds like but the medication I am thinking of doesn't come in milliliters.

Thank you so much kkb, Synthroid seems to be the right choice, but the other is still a mystery. I had already googled the airborne conduction phrase, but was double checking relativity as sometimes google has misled me. I appreciate the help, have a wonderful day smile

Sounds like we are taking the same MT course from AHP. I have had the same difficulty. I still haven't figured out the medications. The phrase about the ears - I researched and came up with "ear-to-bone conduction". I'm still having trouble in the Neurologic section with "Position in _____ intact". What do you get?

Hey, sorry it's been a while since I checked this site. I am sure you have finished the report by now lol. *Position, and the vibratory sense is intact.* I took a break from course for a few weeks. I got so disheartened by Quiz 30, but am ready to get back into it. my email is lulabelle_1962@yahoo.com if you want to keep in touch. smile
