I am considering changing to a digital system vs. using tapes (pickup and delivery). I am a small MTSO and I don't know how to really convince the client to go with the digital system (portable recorder and send files over the internet, etc). Do you have any suggestions with how to present this to my client on paper?

Thanks

Good Morning Success-
I would mention the big things like:

1) Quicker turn around time
2) Money saver in the long run
3) The digital files can last longer than tapes which can break down
4) Very easily made HIPAA compliant to secure all confidential patient information

I am sure I am missing something, but that is a start for a few things you can mention. Hope it helps! Have a wonderful day!!! lily

You also might want to purchase and "lease" the digital device to him or offer it free for as long as they retain the contract its only about $150 investment/write-off. Also a good seller is faster turn-around time since you can actually type reports as they send them to you via internet rather than waiting all day for a tape. If you go ahead and purchase at least one, learn it pretty good and teach them, it usually is an easier transition.
