This may be a really simple question, but...

What exactly is the difference between the two?

I know what a microcassette is since that's what I use. Aren't mini's the same? I'm assuming they're the same size.

I've often wondered about that.

Hi Nat,

Minis and micros are not the same size. The minis are a little big bigger and you have to have a special transcriber for them. I had an account about 15 years ago that used minis. I couldn't even find a mini-transcriber at that time and had to re-record everything from a microphone - a real pain! Finally, his recorder broke and he couldn't find another mini, so he got a microcassette recorder.

I didn't think they even made the minis anymore. I haven't seen one in years.
