kkb Pinnacle Gabber Registered: 07/24/99 Posts: 1497 Loc: Maine	Amy, PRD is a word expander program--not likely to already be in your laptop. It was the first expander program I ever used. I like it, but it used to be (don't know now) too pricey compared to other programs. It was like $400+ in 1993! _________________________ kkb (Karyn), who considered herself a newbie after 18 years doing MT and even though she is no longer working in the field, still remembers what it was like to be a newbie!

Your key should work to take you to the beginning of a line; I use in WP5.1 but that will probably do something different in Word. You might try unplugging and then replugging-in your keboard connection and then restarting your computer; or, if you're using some special aftermarket keyboard (like a curved or split keyboard), you might try reintalling it (these last are suggestions from a computer-geeky friend of mine). The commands below are all the document navigation shortcuts...they're all listed in Word2000. Quote: LEFT ARROW One character to the left RIGHT ARROW One character to the right CTRL+LEFT ARROW One word to the left CTRL+RIGHT ARROW One word to the right CTRL+UP ARROW One paragraph up CTRL+DOWN ARROW One paragraph down SHIFT+TAB One cell to the left (in a table) TAB One cell to the right (in a table) UP ARROW Up one line DOWN ARROW Down one line END To the end of a line HOME To the beginning of a line ALT+CTRL+PAGE UP To the top of the window ALT+CTRL+PAGE DOWN To the end of the window PAGE UP Up one screen (scrolling) PAGE DOWN Down one screen (scrolling) CTRL+PAGE DOWN To the top of the next page CTRL+PAGE UP To the top of the previous page CTRL+END To the end of a document CTRL+HOME To the beginning of a document SHIFT+F5 To a previous revision SHIFT+F5 To the location of the insertion point when the document was last closed I'll do almost anything to keep my fingers over the main keyboard, so once my company switches to Windows I'll be studying these shortcuts hard .
