Would like to contact MT's with VR experience. Software used? etc.

In particular, I would like to be able to have doctors dictate into a recording device hooked to the internet (ie; its own IP address). Would then like to connect to the doctor's site from home and download the dictation file. Once downloaded, I would like to be able to play it back through headsets and speak into my microphone what the doctor has said (ie; the VR software would recognize my voice). When I'm finished dictating (and finished making corrections), I would then like to upload the completed document to the doctor's site for local printing & placement into the patient's file.

Perhaps a bit unique/ambitious. Does anyone have any experiences along this line?

Hmmm. Sounds like the last part would work, the part where you dictate into your own VR program.... but what would the doctors dictate into on their own IP address? and what would you do about words that you don't recognize or things they say that you can't understand? Just curious... If the bugs could be worked out, might be a great new development!

I have Dragon Dictate, Naturally Speaking. In my experience, I have found that if you type faster then 70ish WPM, then you can type faster then you you can redictate accurately.

If you are a slower typist, or just need to give the fingers and wrists a break, then this can be a good option for you.

You also have to consider the time it takes to voice train the software to recognize your voice the majority of the time correctly as well as training common medical words. Even if you buy the full medical version, there is still an option to have the software "read" files on your computer that you select and it will compile a list of unknown words in those files that you can then train.
