I found what I was looking for - it was DesOwen. Sometimes it helps to step away and go back to something later when you have slept.

It's probably "Valisone" lotion. (0.1% strength of this is often applied, as is 1% hydrocortisone, 1% clindamycin, 1% metronidazole, and varying strenths of triamcinolone, Desocort, for seborrheic dermatitis.)

Hope this helps.

Just a quick note for wik and all other new Gabbers:

If you edit your message after someone has answered it, it ruins the thread because you have removed your original question. Normally I would delete anything in a thread where this happens because all messages stemming from the poster's original question may be useless since a reader has no original post to see for themselves what exact comment/question was actually posted originally. The basic rule is to only edit if nobody has answered your post. If someone has, you have to post a new message to correct yourself. This is why allowing users to edit can get hairy. We have the option of turning editing off but I would really hate to do that because I think people find it useful.

Anyway... I know every BB is a bit different in how things are done, so don't worry about this litle faux pas.

BTW wik, what country are you from? As far as I know we do not have any medication called DesOwen here in Canada. Is it non-prescription?

I am from the United States (California). I'm surprised to find out this site originates in Canada. DesOwen (topical) is desonide.

wick:

Aha found it. The dermatologist we transcribe for usually prescribes "Desocort" or "Tridesilon" - I had never even heard of DesOwen before. I have added it to our spell-checker.

Now - you said:

"I'm surprised to find out this site originates in Canada."

Could you please rephrase or explain that comment? Why surprised?
