Okay, I really think I'm hearing this correctly but as it's referring to a male patient, I thought I'd make sure. Patient has lesion on his nasal "labial" area. Hope someone's on line tonight because I'd like to transmit my notes tonight and appreciate your help - I'll check back soon!

I am sure this is too late to help you, but could you be hearing nasal labii? Barron's Atlas of Anatomy lists "levator labii superioris alaeque nasi muscle" They are the muscles on each side of the nose. I believe they are the muscles that allow the nostrils to flare!

I believe you're looking for "nasolabial" area (per Stedman's, "relating to the nose and upper lip").
