I am about to graduate from USCI MT program and have already started a job search .. found it is very difficult to get hired on as a new MT since so many companies want in hospital experience, but with all the out-sourcing its hard to find any hospitals that actually still have a transcriptioning department.

When I was doing schooling I found that I was the best in psychiatric reports and really enjoyed doing them. I’m from a big city with TONS of psychiatric hospitals. So I was wondering if I should get in contact with them and see if they may have any kind of transcriptioning job available, or do these types of hospitals also outsource? I’m a new mommy and really need to start bringing in some money and just feel hopeless every time I start to look for jobs in my area.

Any Ideas?
