To CUT to it: Has anyone heard of a Morton's incision? Morton has a neuroma named after him in the foot, and it can be surgically removed, but I don't see it ever referred to as being accomplished by a Morton's incision. But this Dr. says he can see a "Morton's incision." Could he be referring to an incision that was made to remove a Morton's neuroma, so he just calls it "the Morton's incision" as such? Or is there a Martin's incision? I don't think so. There is a Kerr incision, and Mr. Kerr's first name was Martin.

There is a Morison incision (with one r--there are more hits on google as Morrison but both my GI word book and my surgical word book have it Morison). It is used when doing a cholecystectomy. Not sure if that fits for you.

Well, Morison cuts out gallbladders, while Morton talks about feet with neuromas, and my Doctor is looking at a foot when he says this, so I'll go with Morton's incision, and I'll find out in a couple of days if that's right. Anyway, Morton should have an incision named after him - he was such a cut-up.
