Hi, Im getting mixed results online when trying to find information about a catheter called an "omniflush" or perhaps "Omni Flush," or in some cases "OMNI Flush."

does anyone have a medical term book that has this listed the proper way? Thanks MTs!

Whats with the attitude? is there something wrong with my question or my signature? Why would you rub in the fact that you have the right book and the answer but not share it? What a nasty person.

Amanda, you`ve already said you`re still a student. Your course wants you to learn how to research for yourself, and asking for answers on a message board is not researching properly. What if someone gives you the wrong answer? If you`ve searched to the best of your ability and still can`t find the answer, then you should take the problem to your instructor.

For problems with instruments and devices, you should try to find the manufacturer in your research, as they *usually* spell their products` names right on their web sites.

Since the FDA approves medical devices as well as drugs, you could check around their site.

These two sites have links to useful information:

http://www.mtdesk.com/frame.php?frame=sitemap

You should also look through the resources listed on Medword.com`s home page.

good luck with your studies

Thank you for your very nice reply. I am not a student-- not sure where you got that info from- if you let me know Ill fix it. I've been working for 4 years. anyway, I came to the board because I couldnt find it in my books (they are a little older) and the web sites I did find had conflicting info-- for instance caps vs no caps. I thought a "medical word issues" forum would be a good place to ask someone for a more updated reference than I had. So, again, thanks for the help. I hope I find out why you think im a student. Thanks.
