Hello everyone! I am a new graduate from a MT program and I have put out 5 resumes so far. The one who has replied is Nuance. I have lurked on discussion boards and I have not seen any experienced MTs say anything about Nuance. Has anyone worked for them or currently works for them now? Are they better, worse, or about average in what they pay and how they treat their employees? Thank you in advance.

Hi Kmouse:

Try googling "nuance transcription reviews" (no quotes)--the 8th hit on the first page and the 7th hit on the second page have some reviews. The 2 hits were from the same site--there is likely more information about them at that site if you look further.

Not sure--the overwhelming majority of them pay by the line, but some will pay by the hour during a specified training period. The company that took over the MT department at the hospital I worked for did this.

kkb,
If you don't mind my asking, which company do you speak of? You can PM if you prefer.

kkb,
Did you PM me? I have a mail icon flashing at the top of the page but when I click on it, there are no messages. I didn't notice that icon before. Is it usually there?

I currently work for Nuance (my company was acquired by them). You can send me a private message and I would be glad to answer any questions you might have if I can.

Terri
