Hi all!
I am a new graduate and need some serious direction as to any company that hires newby's such as myself. I am trying SO hard not to get discouraged. Any info would help a great deal.
THANKS!!!

Hi SMann,

I'm new here (just registered today), but I've been reading a lot of the posts, and learning a lot I might add. Somewhere on here someone mentioned MedQuist as a company who would consider hiring newly-graduated MTs.

I'm just finishing up Book 4 (At-Home Professions) and will be starting Book 5 soon.

Good luck to you!

Hi there TLee, and thanks!! I actually got quite lucky and even though I tried going through MedQuist, I ended up at Superior Global and I got my job through them!! I have been working lots and lots and very happy about it. Though not a great deal of money since I'm a newby and all, I sure love what I'm doing.

And it ends up that we use MedQuist's platform for all of our VR transcribing and editing, pretty cool!!

Take care and thanks again!

Shelly

That's great! I'm working on finishing up Lesson 44...6 more to go! I hope I'll be able to start working pretty quick. So tell me, is the "real" work as challenging as some of the dictations for the class?

TLee

Congratulations on getting a job - and you seem so happy, too! I am now in your position. I qualified and took a little time out and breather - and now am trying to find a job, but everyone wants experience. I may well send to those, just in case, but it is a bit disheartening!
