A friend of mine quit doing MT and gave me all her books. Unfortunately, they are all very old books. Most of them are early Stedman editions. I was wondering if any student would like to have them. My thought being that as you use them you will realize right off which ones you are using the most and will need to replace with new editions. That might help cut down on the $$ you spend on your library. Will also throw in my old copy of the the Stedman's 2nd edition Ortho & Rehab Words whis is the most recent but very dog-eared.
I have also had a lot of problems finding a headset I like and have accummulated probably 20-30 different kinds of ear things, in the ear, over the ear, over the head, etc. and if anyone would like these would be glad to send them along. This would include a pretty good stethescope pair that I just do not like the sound quality of but used it for many years. Maybe you are all like me and with the new headsets on the market just don't bother with the "medical" headsets any more.
Will send these to you if you just reimburse postage, and I think I can put them in flat rate boxes. So if you are interested, let me know.

Dottietypes,
I'd be interested in unloading the books from you. I finished my MT training in August of 2010 and so am searching for my first job, but I'm sure they'll come in handy eventually, and I'll be happy to reimburse the postage if you'll be shipping them flate rate. How should I get in touch with you offline?

dottietypes,
That's very nice of you for sure.
Just wanted to comment off topic that I'm having a time with earphones too. I have used over-the-head for almost ever. But, lately I feel claustrophobic in them. Also have quite a few accumulated, mostly cheap ones because I don't want to commit until I know I like them. Like I said, anyway ...
And, welcome, by the way... hope to see you around.

Dottietypes,
Thank you for letting me know about the messages going into the junk mail folder. I got them all and just tried calling the number you listed in the message and left a voicemail for you.

Off topic as well, but I love the Spectra headphones. They're about $29.00 but worth the money.

Dottietypes,
Do you have anything left? If so, I would be interested in talking to you further.
As for anyone else, I am still trying to find a headphones that provide good quality sound as well. I don't like anything to be in my ear. Any suggestions are extremely appreciated!!!!
Thanks, kel

Hi kel. You might want to check our Medword.com.com page on noise-cancelling headphones found here: Noise-Cancelling Headphones You'll find new and used ones available. We use (among others) Audio Technica over-the-ear noise-cancelling headphones and have found them to be excellent. Finding the right headphone set may be a hit-and-miss exercise.
