On an H&P, the doctor dictates that the patient was given 2 Percocet 5/325 mg, ibuprofen 600 mg, and 100 mg of Norflex. Is that acceptable word placement, or should I fix it to: drug, then dosage, then tablet amount? I am currently in school and could use any help anyone could give. Thanks!

I think that would depend on the client--if it is a "verbatim" account (laughable since verbatim is not what they really mean or want) then you would have to do it as dictated. If you have any leeway, however, you could make them uniform in the sense that the drug was first and the dosage second--this would definitely look better in a numbered list.

Sorry I am unable to answer your question, as the answer is dependent on multiple factors. Hopefully your school has let you know whether you are to transcribe verbatim or not.
