Would you recommend someone new to medical transcription (recent MT graduate) take the RMT prep assessment and become registered? Does it help get a job?

Anything you can do to stand out among the crowd that also proves that you have demonstrated a level of competency is always a plus!! I would imagine that companies that require
2 years of experience might waive that requirement if you had your RMT.

I would suggest contacting some prospective employers and asking them if they would waive the experience requirement if you had your RMT.
