A middle-aged couple living in Detroit, Michigan, when to see their family doctor. The husband, now 52, had finally come through a particularly difficult quadruple bypass surgery and recuperative stay in hospital. Although tired, he felt he now had a new lease on life. Their physician recommended they consider taking a break from the lousy winter weather and spend some R&R somewhere hot and sunny. They thought this was a great idea. It was soon to be their 20th wedding anniversary, so they could also celebrate that in a better clime.
To make it more special, they planned to stay at the same hotel where they spent their honeymoon 20 years earlier, in Tampa, Florida. However, because it was a spur-of-the-moment decision, and because of their hectic work responsibilities, it was difficult to coordinate their travel schedules. So, it was decided that the husband would fly from Detroit to Tampa on the following Friday, and his wife would fly down on the Saturday. A rather small inconvenience to make their special getaway happen.
Friday came. The husband flew to Tampa and checked into the same hotel and even the same room where they had spent their honeymoon. Of course, times change, and to his pleasant surprise there was Internet access and a guest-only accessible laptop computer as part of the room amenities. Thrilled with this unexpected perk, he decided to send an e-mail to his loving wife and bride of 20 years.
However, when sending the message,
he accidentally left out one letter in her e-mail address and unwittingly sent the message to the wrong person.
Meanwhile ... somewhere in Seattle...A heartbroken and grieving widow had just returned home from her husband's funeral, accompanied by her loving son. Her husband of 60-something years was a Minister who was called home to glory after suffering a massive heart attack. The widow decided to check her e-mail, expecting messages of support and condolences from relatives and friends who were unable to attend the funeral. After reading the first message though, she let-out a blood-curdling scream - and fainted. Her son rushed into the room, found his mother on the floor, and then glanced up and saw the e-mail message on the monitor which read:

Dearest Love:
I know you are surprised to hear from me. I have just arrived and have been checked in. They have computers here now, and we're allowed to send e-mail to anyone we want. I have confirmed that everything has been prepared and they expect your arrival tomorrow. I look forward to seeing you then.
Hope your journey is as uneventful as mine was.
Your loving husband.
