I'm new here too. I know it's probably too late to answer your question, but I will try anyway. (3 days late) I searched for "shear injury" using google.com and found the following. In my opinion you were looking for "shear injury hemorrhage".
Shear injury is commonly seen in acute injuries due to the differences between gray and white matter. When you stop quickly, these layers will separate. They typically separate at cortico-medullary junctions and they typically have blood in them. Prognosis is poor.
