Can someone tell me which term (in parentheses)is correct in this sentence?

"tiny scattered foci of T2 and (FLAIR or flare) signal hyperintensity."

Thanks.

I found this on fonarglossary.com, and secondary resources back up (flare signal). Flare, stands for fast low-angled or angle, recalled echoes.
Hope that helps.

Thank you very much for your help. I was able to contact the doctor's office. The actual MRI report used the term "FLAIR" - and I had to type it that way because it was directly quoted into the consultation. I will keep your information for future reference.

Sorry I am reading this a few months after you posted it but...the neurologist I type for reads MRIs also and dictates those reports as well. It is 'FLAIR' when doing those reports for future reference.
