Hello,

I am an MT student working on the transcription portion of my material. I hope to be done by the end of the year and ready to job hunt. (keeping fingers crossed)

The only reference materials I have are The Language of Medicine book, Mosby's Medical Dictionary and the Internet.

I have found in my short time of practice transcription that there have been some medical terms that are not in my books and I have found the Internet to be largely unhelpful.

I was wondering what some of your favorite resources were. What do you use the most or find most complete? What resources are worth buying? Have you found any Internet sites to be truly helpful?

Also, the books on my desk include Tessier's The Surgical Word Book, Dorland's Medical Speller, and Sloane's The Medical Word Book.

I used Google extensively but you have to be very, very careful and make sure that the site is legitimate.
